Personalised Yoga & Lifestyle Practices

Focusing on yoga, we weave together stress-reduction techniques, meditation and breathing exercises, nutrition advice and lifestyle practices, which are practical enough to do at home, so that you can get your health back on track.

You do not need any prior experience of yoga. The practices are designed to accommodate all levels including complete beginners. For more experienced students the sessions help you to develop your home practice and to identify which aspects are most beneficial for your health.

Body temenos offers personalised practices for specific health conditions to bring the body back into balance.  Sessions are based on the principle of softening to the body and turning to our sacred space within. This re-centering cultivates an inner awareness, so that you are guided in the yoga poses and lifestyle practices by feedback from your own body. Our bodies are all different and therefore these methods allow for your own individuality and are tailored to evolve with your experiential insights and body wisdom. 

All physical sensations and emotions are welcomed within Body Temenos. We use practices to explore ways of gently feeling into more challenging states, whilst also moving through them.  This allows us to soften into our daily experiences and to read our body sensations and emotions as information that can lead us back into balance. In doing so we deepen our relationship with ourselves so that we know what we need to maintain our health and sense of wellness. We become the knowers of our body-mind and can find physical and emotional peace as we ride the waves of life.

Julia is a multi-disciplinary health practitioner, weaving together evidence-based research, ancient wisdom and healing modalities, for full body wellness. Everything she teaches comes from a place of integrity, having used these practices in her own life for several decades. She is fully committed to helping others ease their suffering through using practices that address the physical, emotional and energetic aspects of ourselves.

Julia has worked with a diverse client base both in the UK and internationally and this brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to inform her work. She is known for her sense of humility, professionalism and compassion.
